Who We Are

Sister Geraldine “Geri” Frances Marr

Sister Geraldine “Geri” Frances Marr, SC, has served as Principal at St. Philip School (Pittsburgh, PA) since 1996. She sees her ministry as an opportunity to pass on the Catholic faith and promote an environment where achieving natural goodness in everyday life is emphasized.
Sister Geri entered the Congregation on September 8, 1958, from St. Jerome Parish (Charleroi, PA). Her primary ministry has been in education, serving in the Dioceses of Greensburg and Pittsburgh for nearly 50 years. Her longest ministry assignments have been as Principal at St. Philip School (Pittsburgh, PA) for 12 years and at St. Regis (Trafford, PA) for seven years. Her other ministry experiences include serving as novice director of the Sisters of Charity of Seton Hill and as a retreat center director.
“I have found my life as a consecrated religious woman rewarding and purposeful in the service of God’s people,” she says. “Religious life has supported my efforts to grow in spirit and nourish my life.”
