Sister Mary John Moore

Sister Mary John Moore, SC has dedicated nearly five decades of ministry to the DePaul School for Hearing and Speech. Aside from a two-year period in which she ministered at Elizabeth Seton High School, Sister Mary John feels blessed and privileged to have spent most of her 50 years as a Sister of Charity of Seton Hill witnessing how the unique spirit of each child emerges as s/he comes into communication with his or her world.

“I am grateful for God’s loving call, for the support of family, friends, and teachers as I matured and for the willingness of the Sisters of Charity of Seton Hill to welcome me in the first place and to continue my formation to this day.”

Sister Mary John entered religious life from St. Patrick’s Parish in Kent, Ohio and has worked in the Diocese of Pittsburgh for the last 50 years.
