Sister Joyce Serratore

Sister Joyce Serratore, SC, said the “Sisters of Charity who taught me in grade school at Resurrection and in high school at Elizabeth Seton” influenced her decision to enter religious life. Sister Joyce entered the Congregation on September 8, 1959, from Resurrection Parish in Pittsburgh.
Currently, Sister Joyce is the General Councilor/Vice President of the Sisters of Charity of Seton Hill. Prior to this appointment, Sister Joyce served as the Provincial Councilor/Vice President. Before her pastoral experiences and current position in Congregation administration, Sister Joyce taught for more than twenty years. She also served as the Principal of Sacred Heart High School.
“The Charity of Christ urges us! It is this vowed commitment that compels me to give wholehearted service to God and the Church, to embrace all to whom I am sent and with whom I minister, and to witness to God’s inclusive and universal love for all people and creation,” said Sister Joyce.
