Sisters of Charity of Seton Hill

Who We Are

Sister Mary Price

Sister Mary Price, SC, said “Sister Mary Eva and other Sisters of Charity I met during grade school and high school” influenced her decision to enter religious life. Sister Mary entered the Congregation on September 8, 1959, from Saint Anselm Parish in Pittsburgh.

Currently, Sister Mary serves as the Pastoral Associate with Saint Pius X Parish in Pittsburgh. Previously, Sister Mary was the Coordinator of the Seton Family for the Sisters of Charity of Seton Hill. Seton Family is a lay centered program answering the call of Vatican II for the renewal of the whole Church, a Church in which the laity has an indispensable role. The Seton Family supports lay women and men in their desire to grow to maturity in the Body of Christ.

“I find the motto of our community, ‘The Charity of Christ urges us,’ motivates me in my daily endeavors. In living out the charism of our community, I try to see the face of God in those whom I meet. Following in the footsteps of Saint Elizabeth Seton, Saint Vincent de Paul, and Saint Louise de Marillac helps me incarnate their spirit in giving service to those who are poor, deprived, and needy,” said Sister Mary.
