“I have always treasured the Sisters of Charity as part of my family and as educators. The sisters have had a huge impact on who I am as a person and what I have accomplished in my career. This is why I have chosen to give back to them in a legacy gift in my Will.”

Legacy gifts from your estate are a critical financial resource that help The Sisters of Charity of Seton Hill ensure the sustainability of our mission and vision. Please consider including the sisters in your will and estate plans. Perhaps there is a special ministry or sister, or group of sisters, who has made an impact on your life and whom you wish to honor or endow. Please contact us to discuss the many ways you can make a difference. And remember, no gift is too small or too large!
For your general information, the official IRS estate and gift tax exemption for 2016 is $5.4 million per individual, and the annual gift exclusion is $14,000.00 per individual.
You can name the Sisters of Charity of Seton Hill as a beneficiary on your life insurance policy by creating a new policy with the sisters as the owner, or by transferring an existing policy to them. You may also be able to claim a tax deduction on the value of your policy. Further, if you are paying premiums on a policy you give to the sisters, you may be eligible for other tax benefits as well!–
